“Jimmy, Kenny, Toby & Jake Spread Hurricane Relief Love Through Music”

The Sandbar & No Shoes Nation Represented in Tallahassee For Hurricane Relief!

                                                                                       

Wow! It seems every time we throw a pre-party or tailgate, we walk away more amazed at how blessed we are to be a part of The No Shoes Nation.

While tailgating before the hurricane relief concert we were able to throw an amazing raffle with the help of Blue Chair Bay, some special crafty NSN friends and even a displaced St. Johnian! With their donations we put together some great prizes to raise money for Kenny’s Love For Love City Foundation! Almost $1,600 later it looks like it was a huge success! Thank you to everyone that helped us pull that off! It will be an honor to donate that money on behalf of The No Shoes Nation!

During our tailgate we had a special visit from a close friend of the Sandbar, Jon Anthony from No Shoes Radio. He came to see what our raffle was all about! He told us that during a live interview with Kenny backstage, Kenny mentioned how proud he was of the No Shoes Nation for having all these “mini” fundraiser’s for his foundation and how much it means to the rebuilding of the Virgin Islands. Jon said that after the interview it was ironic that Kenny mentioned all the fundraising events, because he knew he was gonna be heading to the tailgates to check on a big party that some of his friends were having at their tailgate to raise money for Love For Love City! When he arrived to our tailgate he was taken back at how awesome it was to see 1st hand what the No Shoes Nation is capable of doing! After our live interview he promised to report back to Kenny on what we raised! So, No Shoes Nation, Kenny really does know we are doing what we can to make a difference and he truly is proud of us all! When we 1st came up with the idea to do Welcome To The Sandbar the very 1st person we told and asked for advice from was Jon Anthony. Once we had his blessing and he understood we wanted to respect Kenny and the No Shoe’s Nation’s values, we launched this crazy Sandbar world! Jon is so good to us and really is excited to watch what we are building within No Shoes Nation! Thank you Jon Anthony for your guidance and support!

Now onto the concert… it was nothing short of amazing watching so many brilliant musicians up on stage singing hit after hit! It was a Jimmy Buffet and Friends Extravaganza! Would we have liked to see more Kenny? Well… Of Course, but we were there to help the hurricane relief efforts with some great musical artists and listen to some amazing music and carry our worries away! That’s exactly what we did! It was a very special once in a lifetime experience!
