“Being A Kenny Chesney Concert Addict”

What It’s Like To Be A Kenny Chesney Concert Addict

All of us can probably think of at least one more Kenny Chesney concert addicts in their lives. You know, those people like you whose Instagram feeds are full of pictures of Kenny and those people constantly tweeting all about a show they just went to or about the tour dates, with pictures of count downs to his next show.

We are “those” people, We find that often friends, family and co-workers are absolutely baffled by our love of traveling to the next show… they just don’t get it. Either way, concert addiction for any artist’s show is a pretty difficult concept to understand, but once you are able to subject the non-under-stander to it, they will clearly see why we are so unwilling to kick this crazy habit.

As avid music lovers, We have definitely been to our share of live shows. Concerts are our favorite hobby, and we are constantly asked by so many people… why? Some of the most popular questions tend to be, “why would you pay to hear songs you can just listen to online?” or “you’ve seen Kenny Chesney a 100 times, why would you pay to see him again?” Isn’t every show the same?

Our answers are simple: because , there is no better place on earth to share your love of music, than in a venue filled with a crowd of people who share that same passion you have for the same artist’s music… Hence: THE NO SHOES NATION. Kenny Chesney and his music simply take us to another place in time, we leave our worries behind! It is magical carpet ride for the 2 to 3 hours we spend singing every word to every song with people that share those same feelings!

“Concerts aren’t just paying money to see a musician sing some songs you may have heard on the radio. Concerts are about community. They’re about screaming the lyrics to your favorite songs along with a crowd of 20,000 + people and watching the person who wrote them’s face light up because they didn’t expect everyone to know the words. Concerts are about spending a night dancing like no one is watching with your best friends in an atmosphere filled with people who are doing just the same. It’s about meeting  people at shows that you would have never met if it weren’t for your shared love for the same music or the artist that produced it and having them become your best friends. Concerts present the opportunity to travel to places you have never been just to do something that you love and feeling so at home in a place so far away. It’s about that rush of adrenaline when the lights go down, the crowd erupts with excited screams, and one of your favorite artists takes the stage in front of you.” Quoted from:  Alley Loope (Admitted Concert Addict)

Michelle and Connie often try to explain this addiction to people by pointing out the non-under-stander’s own passions… Golfing, Tennis, Quilting, attending a game to cheer your favorite team on, well that’s your “thing”. Well, going to concerts, particularly Kenny Chesney concerts is our “thing”! Enough said!

Live Your life No Shoes Nation,

Connie and Michelle
