So many questions on how a song becomes an official #1 so we decided to reach  out to our record label friend and he explained how they determine a #1 for their artists…

There are two recognized country music charts, Mediabase and Billboard. It’s not uncommon to have a song reach #1 on the Billboard chart the same week a different song reaches #1 on the Mediabase chart. Both charts count the amount of times a select group of radio stations play each song during a given week. The music industry can only claim a song as a #1 via either one of those charts. Here are all of Kenny’s #1’s based off of that recognized music industry method!
