25 Years Of Kenny!

 What Kenny Has been up to for 25 years…

 1990

 1994

 First signing a songwriting deal, a record deal was next for Kenny. He released his debut album In My Wildest Dreams on the independent label, Capricorn.

1995

Chesney signed with BNA Records where he dropped a second album. It had two Top 10 singles. The album was titled …All I Need to Know, and the title track became a hit, as well as the single “Fall in Love.”

1996

On June 4, Kenny came back with a new album, Me and You. His first single from that record was “Back in My Arms Again”, both the album’s title track and “When I Close My Eyes” climbed all the way to No. 2 on the charts.

1997

His career was in full force by 1997. This is the year he took home the ACM Award for New Male Vocalist. He also released I Will Stand, which included “She’s Got It All” and “That’s Why I’m Here.” Both amazing songs!

1999

Kenny kept putting out the hits and released Everywhere We Go. This album was his first platinum record and produced four hit songs, including two that went to No. 1.”How Forever Feels”, “You Had Me From Hello”, She Thinks My Tractor’s Sexy” and “What I Need To Do”.

2000

Kenny was ready to release his first Greatest Hits album. This record included his biggest hits to this point, but also included new songs and re-recordings of some past singles. “Just Don’t Happen Twice” was a new song that became a No. 1 hit. A favorite at many of his shows!

2002

No Shoes, No Shirt, No Problems was released and it was HUGE! “The Good Stuff” was one of the album’s singles, and it stayed at No. 1 on the charts for seven weeks. Billboard named it the top country album for that year. Big year for our man.

2003

This was an outstanding year for Kenny, He took home the ACM Award for Top Male Vocalist of the Year. He also put out a beach themed holiday record by releasing All I Want For Christmas Is a Real Good Tan.

2004

Success just kept coming for our guy. Kenny finally won the CMA Entertainer of the Year award, but it wouldn’t be the last. It was also the year he released When The Sun Goes Down and took to the road with his Guitars, Tiki Bars and a Whole Lotta Love Tour.

2005

He released two albums Be As You Are, Songs From an Old Blue Chair and The Road and the Radio. Be As You Are became a huge album that the fans truely embraced even without any radio playHe won the Triple Play Award from the Academy of Country Music. Unfortunatly he married and got an annulment from actress Renee Zellweger.

2006

Kenny took home the CMA EOTY award for the second time. He released a long awaited live album, and performed at the White House on May 16 for President George Bush.

2007

This was a big touring year for Kenny. The Flip-Flop Summer Tour. It was the highest-grossing country tour of the year. He released his album Just Who I Am: Poets and Pirates and won the CMA for Entertainer oftThe Year once again.

2009

Kenny decided to do something really special for his fans. He played both bigger and smaller venues to keep ticket prices reasonable for his fanbase. He also released his second Greatest Hits album. Kenny headed out on the road for the “Sun City Carnival” tour.

2010

Hemingway’s Whiskey was released, with “The Boys of Fall” as the first single. It became Kenny’s 18th No. 1 hit. “Somewhere With You,” “You and Tequila” and “Live a Little” were all singles from the record. This album became a fan favorite very quickly.  After Kenny wrapped up his latest concert tour, the Sun City Carnival.  He gave us Summer in 3D, It gives the fans a chance to live the songs and the moments that make the Kenny Chesney concert experience so amazing.

2011

Kenny stepped out of the box when he produced and narrated The Color Orange, a biographical movie about Condredge Holloway. Holloway was, at one time, a quarterback for the University of Tennessee. He also launched the “Going Coastal” tour.

2012

Welcome to the Fishbowl was released  and the first single from the album was the duet with Tim McGraw titled “Feel Like a Rock Star.”  The duo decided to take their freindship out on the road together with the “Brothers Of The Son” tour. At the last stop of the tour in Gillette Stadium Kenny announced we would crown his fans… The “No Shoes Nation”.

2013

Kenny named his tour after the fans…The  No Shoes Nation was celebrated when he set out on his “No Shoes Nation” Tour with Eric Church, Zac Brown Band, Eli Young Band and Kacey Musgraves. Life on a Rock was also released. Another personal look at his island life.

2014

“American Kids” hit the radio waves that June. It was the first single from The Big Revival, and became another No. 1 hit. The album garnered four #1 hits total. He played his only concert of the year at the Flora-Bama on the beach, a free show with roughly 40,000 people in attendance. Still to this day spoken about within the No Shoes Nation as one of the most amazing days ever.

2015

Kenny started this year off with his 27th No. 1 hit  “Till It’s Gone” from The Big Revival. The tour of the same name kicked off that March with Brantley Gilbert, Jason Aldean and several other artists. He broke reacords all across the board by blowing out staduims with record attendance all year.
