“Beck Can Teach Us All How To Live To Love”

I am in my 22nd school year as a public school teacher, but overall I have 26 years’ experience teaching; my first 4 and half years of teaching was in the private preschool, Child Care Center setting. I started in High School as a Career Vocational Education student and was a non-traditional college student, meaning I worked full-time while earning my college degree. Currently, for the past 10 years of my career, I teach high school Career Vocational Education students as an Adjunct Professor at the local Community College. Just like many of my students, I have other passions and interests outside of teaching; for example, I love attending concerts, especially Kenny Chesney and singing along to my favorite songs.
In high school I tried to write songs, but they always turned into better poems or short stories; according to my teachers. I started writing a blog in 2015. I am a reader who knows the power of a story so I decided to write mine. I had 300+ views on 1 blog. Thus, I would like to explore opportunities in the music industry, especially being a part of the song writing part, as a song-writer/lyricist for Country, Children’s and Inspirational Music. In 2021, I finally decided to invest and I became a member of SongTown and my PRO Affiliation is with BMI. SongTown Co-founder, Marty Dodson is a co-writer of, “Everybody Wants to go to Heaven.” As soon as I realized this, I knew that I am in the right place to start my path as a Song-writer.
In 2020, I partnered with “Welcome to the Sandbar,” in creating “Beck’s Sunday Kenny Scramble.” During Covid, I started posting MadGabs and started creating some out of Kenny Chesney’s Song Titles but that lead to making “Scrambles” instead! It has been great to connect socially in this new post Covid virtual setting. This is about my No Shoes Nation Ohio Group that I started in 2015;April of 2019 was my 16th time seeing Kenny Chesney and 2005 was my 1st show, the Somewhere in the Sun tour! I will travel, but often wonder how OHIO can show him we love when he performs in our state! Plus No Shoes Nation has to stick together! This group is for NSN Ohio members and/or people who travel to Ohio for concerts.
