“Our Favorite Kenny Moments of 2018”

Happy New Year No Shoes Nation!

We thought we would put togther some of our special moments in 2018, while being a part of the No Shoes Nation. Connie, Michelle and Noelle love how Welcome To The Sandbar has become such an important part of our lives. We can’t wait to see everyone next year and wish everyone an amazing 2019… Live life To The Fullest No Shoes Nation!

What an amazing 2018 these Sandbar Girls had! It started out in Vegas with two nights of Kenny and an amazing pool party at the Hard Rock and ended in Nashville with what felt like the hottest show ever. So many wonderful things happened in our No Shoes Nation world during 2018… from helping rescue pups in the USVI’s, spending yet another summer with Kenny and the No Shoes Nation to the amazing Songs For The Saints album release. We were so excited knowing the Trip Around The Sun tour was starting out in our home state in Tampa, Florida. I think the most exciting and special thing that happened to us in 2018 was starting what would become a fun signature way of having raffles to raise money for the Love For Love City Foundation.

When we were invited to go back and talk to Kenny about our tailgating in Tampa and how his No Shoes Nation was able to raise over $1,600 for his foundation was simply a dream come true! To have him thank us and see that look of pride in his eyes was such an inspiration for us. We had to continue our efforts on our other tour stops the rest of the summer! A total of over $4,000.00 was raised this year in donations to the foundation. We are certainly blessed to be a part of such an amazing group of people we call our 2nd family! 2018 became the year we realized how important the music, Kenny and our No Shoes Nation family really is to us! Especially loving the new album and love what it means to all of us! We love what Kenny and his music represents and we can’t wait to see so many of you on the Songs For The Saints Tour In 2019! Happy New Year! ~Connie~

What an amazing year it has been for us sandbar girls! I feel so blessed to be a part of such an amazing group of people who “get us!” When Connie and I started Welcome to the Sandbar, we really just hoped for a place we could share our love of Kenny’s music. However, we have received so much in return and can’t thank each and every one of you for your support. We traveled near and far and each show we went to left me with such a happy feeling of gratefulness. Yes, the show itself is always amazing (it is Kenny of course!) but what I was most grateful for is all of you! The friends from the beginning of our journey to the new friends we made this year. Our fave thing is meeting so many of you face-to-face. You all make all of this worthwhile.

This is my favorite photo from this year because these two women are what music is all about…healing. They are Marissa and Carrie. We shared their story earlier this year but in case you missed it, they were both shot at the Route 91 Harvest Festival and were attending the Kenny show in Vegas in March. They had healed physically from their wounds but were really trying to heal emotionally from what they had been through and wanted to take that next step of attending a live concert since the attack. But what left me so emotional was that they wanted to meet us! They were so grateful and thankful for WTTS and it was overwhelming for me. They love having you all as their support and community. Complete strangers able to come together for healing. They had been through so much but knew one way to take a step forward was to attend the Kenny show. It was not easy for them but they did it!! Way to go girls!  So I thank you and I wish you each a very Happy New Year! 2019 is gonna rock!! Hope to meet many more of you on the coast of somewhere beautiful! ~Michelle~

Wow! Another year already gone, and we had another amazing Kenny Chesney tour. The Trip Around the Sun Tour was good for me, I attended shows at the beginning (both nights in Vegas), middle (Minneapolis), and end (Boston). All great shows, but Vegas was definitely the highlight because of the huge group of No Shoes Nation friends that I got to see that weekend. We had a fantastic pool party at Rehab at the Hard Rock Hotel, and two nights of high energy shows as everyone was ready for the tour to kickoff. Also, we got that heartfelt album Songs For The Saints. What a gem and a wonderful love letter to the USVI and BVI! Bring on 2019 and the Songs For The Saints tour. ~Noelle~
