With all the tour dates announced for the Chillaxification tour, some confusion has developed about how to get tickets for the tour. Especially the amphitheater dates, which have not gone on sale yet. Here is some information that you might need to know to prepare for purchasing your tickets for the small venue dates.

Your patience is very important. Remember, the amphitheaters are way different than the stadiums. The amphitheaters and arenas have much smaller sandbars. Those venues will sell out quickly. There may only be 200-300 sandbar tickets available for each venue. Some will be set aside for VIP options, and then the rest will go into general sale. Being a member of the paid ($25) part of the KennyChesney.com fan club has its benefits in this situation. You get a special presale code to purchase tickets earlier than everyone else, but keep in mind this is no guarantee you will pull the tickets you want. Joining the fan club only increases your chances. So if you are not already a member now would be a good time to join. 

If you have already bought tickets for an amphitheater date, unfortunately, you have purchased from a scalping site. How is this possible? Secondary ticket sites can make this available by assuming when the tickets actually do go on sale; their bots will acquire the tickets, then make them available to you at a much higher cost. As we said earlier, as of this blog post date…tickets have not officially gone on sale for the amphitheaters. 

Always go to KennyChesney.com and the tour page to purchase your tickets first. Use those links to buy your tickets based on what show you choose. Most of the small venues added are Live Nation venues, but a few venues will use a different ticketing service. The best way to know you are going to the proper place is by using KennyChesney.com. The tour page has links that direct you to the correct ticketing site the venue is using. They will not send you to a scalping site. Some of the better-known scalping sites are VividSeats, StubHub, and TicketsNow. Many times when you do a Google search for tickets (not using Kenny’s website), it will take you directly to scalping sites — even wording their websites to resemble Ticketmaster’s closely. Again, always go to KennyChesney.com‘s tour page and search from his site for the correct link to buy tickets. They will only become available to purchase there once they officially go on sale. Right now, we think that they will start going on sale the week of January 13th or 20th. 

Once tickets go on sale, be careful while on Ticketmaster and watch out for something they call “Official Platinum” tickets. The best thing to do is to unselect this option and make sure only select “standard ticket” in the ticket “type” drop-down menu. Ticketmaster markets them as “some of the best seats in the house,” but will raise or lower the price of these seats based on demand. They are often MUCH higher than face value. Yes, this is another form of scalping! We only recommend this option as a last resort. And we only say that this is an option because you will know for sure they are real tickets since it is through Ticketmaster. We do not think this practice is right, but if seeing Kenny in concert is a priority for you, this is the best option if all else fails. BUT, keep checking back for ticket availability leading up to the show, sometimes tickets get released later on and good ones too, even on the day of the show.

Below are some of the VIP packages offered for this tour based on the stadium shows. Those prices range from $175-$425. Each package includes different options, with the top choice having early entry into the Sandbar. Check them out below if you want to be prepared. They could be slightly different for amphitheaters. If VIP isn’t your thing, the regular tickets are going to range between $35-$129. THEY WILL SELL OUT QUICKLY for the amphitheaters.
